Illustration Studies

Once the project on my drafting table is done I'm looking forward to throwing down some paint on larger versions of these studies. Though I have to admit I did do a larger version of the third piece, but I'm going to redo it as I still think the study has something the finished one did not.

M A Z A M A

We canceled our trip to Glacier National Park since Jess had been traveling so much. Instead we drove only 5 hours away to stay in the Northern Cascade Mountains. Armed with powerful bug juice and sunblock I did the best I could with my gouache kit in the failing light.

A long spring meant the mosquitoes finally got themselves a foothold this year making any hike or camping trip a little more challenging.
