Manipulatard

Busy, but not dead.
Thought I'd play a little why I waited for some comic pages to be flatted. The first one obviously has some perspective issues but hey, I made it up as I was going along and didn't worry too much about it. Then I got the bright idea of using some reference...and I mean really using some reference! I photo-bashed the one below in a couple hours to see what that whole style is like. Never really did it before and I'm not sure how I feel about it.
Kind of empty really even if it does look more "accomplished"...but not much more.

Hopefully though I can keep knocking one of these out a week. Most "realistic" concept art these days seems to lack personality...something I'm hoping to find in all areas of my work.
